A new outdoor entertainment spot next to a fun indoor water park is about to make its debut in Oklahoma City — and you can get an early look.

The Boardwalk at OKANA Resort & Indoor Waterpark is hosting an open house on Thursday, April 23, from 5 to 8:30 p.m., giving people a chance to see the space before it fully ramps up.

No room booking required — this is built to be a go-to hangout.

What to expect

The night is structured more like a flowing experience than a formal event:

  • 5–6 p.m.: Smokehouse Social kicks things off with brisket, cocktails, live music, and lawn games

  • 6–7 p.m.: Curveball Kitchen takes over with comfort food and margaritas

  • 7–8 p.m.: Bullseye brings flatbreads and a more high-energy, game-time vibe

  • 8–8:30 p.m.: Fire show finale from Inspyral Circus

There’s also a quick Pilates session on the lawn at 6 p.m. if you want to balance things out. For the record, Oklahoma Memo will be watching the Pilates, not participating!

What makes this interesting

It was mentioned before, but The Boardwalk is being positioned as a standalone social spot — think food, drinks, live entertainment, and events — without requiring an overnight stay at OKANA, although it’s always an option.

Throughout the night, you’ll also find:

  • Live music and yard games

  • 10-minute chair massages and spa activations

  • Live mural painting

  • Caricatures and face painting

  • Kombucha on tap and desserts

Parking is free for the first four hours via a parking garage near The Boardwalk.

If you’ve ever wanted to meet Oklahoma Memo, I’ll be there. Just look for the guy not doing Pilates and, maybe, enjoying some of that brisket!
