The Department of Public Safety has acquired four mobile counter Unmanned Aerial Vehicle devices.

The total cost was about $30,000 funded through the Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security on an existing contract, said Commissioner Tim Tipton.

The mobile systems will be shipped to strategic areas across the state, so if local law enforcement gets a report of a drone flying near critical infrastructure, the system can help officials determine flight plan, elevation and speed, he said.
